26/09/2011 Madrid (JF) – Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has dissolved the Spanish government ahead of the November 20th election. The elections were moved from March to November in the bid to curb economic instability within Spain along with the growing number of unemployment which currently resides at 21%, with over five million people jobless. The Prime Minister announced in June that he would not run for a third term in office. Campaigning will officially begin on the 4th of November, with pre-campaigning already underway.
